The ACC has been the glamour conference of college basketball for some time. It features the game's most fierce rivalry (Duke/North Carolina) and some of the best coaches you will find in either college or the NBA. Most importantly, these ACC teams are stockpiled with talent. When's the last time you've seen a consensus top 5 prospect sign with a team that had TWO conference wins. You see it in the ACC. This is the conference where Derrick Favors looks to engineer an instant turnaround at Georgia Tech. Even potential bottom feeder Virginia has a stud that can light you up for thirty. He goes by the name of Sylven Landesberg. The Big East is a super conference, true, but there are no off nights in the ACC. Every team in this conference has the talent to beat a top ranked team.

I agree for the most part, but some things that popped out to me was Maryland at 3, BC may be a bit high at 5, and Wake Forest and Florida St. behind Miami. Really? Miami lost starters McClinton, Asbury, and Hurdle. They also lost Graham and Rios, both played a considerable amount of minutes. I know they got Collins and Dews coming back. Plus, they have Villanova transfer Malcolm Grant and freshman Durand Scott coming in. But, I can't see them being that good. Wake Forest returns 3 starters (Aminu, McFarland, and Williams) after losing Johnson and Teague to the NBA. I still think they will be fine. They do have some depth. Ishmael Smith moves into Teague's spot. They have Harvey Hale, Gary Clark, and freshman C.J. Harris in the backcourt. In the front court they still have David Weaver, former highly touted players in Ty Walker and Tony Woods (moves into the starting lineup for Johnson), and freshman Ari Stewart. I think their talent and experience will have them higher in the ACC standings at the end of the year. As for Florida St., they return 4 starters (Alabi, Singleton, Kitchen, and Reid) and a few players off the bench (DeMercy, Loucks, Dulkys, and Gibson) that played a lot of minutes. I know they lost Toney Douglas to the NBA, but they got incoming 5 star recruit Michael Snaer. From what I have read, he can shoot the ball and is bigger than Douglas. I feel that Florida St. is a team to watch out for this year in the ACC.
As for Maryland, I don't see them at 3 in the conference. Yes, they return 4 starters but they are inconsistent. The stat I saw for this was 3 wins against the top 10, but a loss to Morgan St. and going 7-9 in the ACC. I have been a Maryland fan for a long time, but I just don't see it. If they are consistent and can maintain their resilience from late last year, then I can say they are deserving. Maybe I am just a Vasquez hater, haha. As much as I like BC, I think Wake Forest and Florida St. are better. Even though BC returns pretty much everyone except Rice. I just think the 2 teams I named are more talented than BC, but they could surprise.
